I bought a jigsaw puzzle from someone on trademe.
Quite a few of the pieces were damaged rendering the puzzle un-doable.
I contacted the seller asking for a refund.
She said she would only refund the price of the puzzle but not postage. However she did say she would refund the entire amount but only if I paid for it to be posted back. Which still means I would be $5.00 out of pocket AND she would end up with the puzzle (possibly to sell to an unsuspecting buyer).
I started a thread in the trademe messageboards about it and have heaps of support.
I placed my first bad feedback ever on this woman and she still thinks that she's right and I'm wrong and so it doesn't look like I'm going to get any refund at all now.
She's studying pre-law which is why I find this all so amusing really I guess - she's totally ignored all the literature I've sent her about fair trading etc ... I guess she's going to be just another crooked lawyer to add to the mix.
I'll keep y'all posted as to the outcome.
