Topic: Doctors!!!!

So I went to see this orthopaedic surgeon today and having had years of crappy treatment from doctors in general I decided to be straight up with him,by telling him right from the start that I wasn't going to confess my sins to him and it is not his job to judge me.I am aware that for some reason that is unclear to me,that I've been judged as being one of the undeserving,unworthy and I've lately resorted to declaring the fact that although I have a long criminal history,that since 1989 I've appeared before the court 11 times,8 for possession of marijuana,2 disorderly behaviour and one of theft under $500 and although I have previously appeared in the Christchurch District court,that that was only the one offence for possession,which was way back in 1993 and that over the last 15 years I've only had 3 appearances;1995,2004 and 2010 consecutively,or for you lay people the last,last year,the next 6 years before and the other was 9 years before that.All this is to let you know how I'm a big bad pot smoker.I am,however,quite proud of the fact that in all that time (22 years) I haven't had a single traffic offence.
Anyway true to form,he wanted to know stuff like why I'm on Invalids benefit and what meds I'm on and why and of course (as they do) when I told him I have hep c (which is better known as the junkies disease) he jumped to the conclusion that I used the needle and I corrected him by telling him that it is inconclusive exactly how I contracted the disease,because it's likelier I could have gotten it from homemade tattoos done when I was in jail in the 80's,but also because as both my younger and older brother also have it,each of us being born 3 years apart and knowing that our mother had had several complications resulting in blood transfusions in the days before screening,it could well be that we were inadvertently born with it.Of course just try to get the ACC to compensate us for that then eh?
Anyway this fella,calls himself a surgeon which is a doctor right?He focusses on how I went to jail for pinching stuff,asks me how I would feel if someone stole something from me and then tells me that if he caught someone stealing something of his,how he'd bash them!
And there you have it folks,here's this fella telling me how he's prepared to bash someone,but he's not just anyone though,is he?No,he's a DOCTOR!!
And i'm supposed to trust him with my life,letting him put me under his knife,don't think so mate!My mum had quite a lot of experience with orthopaedics and she told me that they are notorious for not telling the whole truth,because when they look at the xrays they only report what is relevant to them,whether your injury is operable and what they can't fix they don't mention,so you're left with an injury you can't get treatment for,because you can't prove you've got it.
He also told me that he was only going to help me with my leg,because he said that he's only a leg doctor which I found a bit hard to fathom,seeing that he already had a couple of xrays on his screens that clearly showed someones lumbar spine and coccyx (lower back and bum bones) and he told me that if I wanted him to see me for my back,that I'd have to go back to my GP and get him to write another letter asking him to look at my back and then what?Oh yeah,that's right,I'll have to wait another couple of months waiting to see him again!Bloody cheek!
Well I got his receptionist on the phone and told her that of course I'm not all that impressed and how it's likely I'm going to start talking about it on the internet and she begged off telling me that I must have caught him on a bad day,how he is not normally like this and how I should write him a letter telling him about it,because she said wouldn't I be pissed off if they went out and told everyone stuff about me?A little bit too late for me though eh?
Tell you the truth I don't see why I have to put up with his crap and if he was so worried about what I might say about him,he should have thought about that before he saw me and not after he's done it,right?
The only thing I've decided to hold back for now is his name,but that will very much depend on how he treats me the next appointment,but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he just suddenly decides to NOT see me again.

One thing I have learned is that if you want forgiveness you must also learn to forgive. So go and tell him you forgive him for talking and offending you by his comments. He may not forgive you and become buddies instantly, but forgiveness is ultimately a Spiritual thing. Remember the Lord's prayer, "Forgive us of our trespasses as we forgive them that trespass us".
