    Default ey up me duck

    ello all.
my name is Tracey and im from derbyshire in the u.k.
i love message boards so couldnt resist posting on here.
we i mean me and my family are coming to nz for our first time in feb and are looking to move out there in the next 6 months.we have been thinking long and very hard about moving to another contry and i must say nz is! as far away from the u.k as you can get!
anyways to be honest there is no reason really for us to stay in the uk,and hey you are only young once so we might aswell take the plunge now or regret it in later life.
we are so looking forward to coming to nz and visiting all the lovely places that we have seen on the t.v and from books.oh yes forgot to say we have never been on a plane before so i hope the long flight wont be too bad.
    thanks for reading .tracey

Yay! More people joining the party that is New Zealand life!

Welcome to NZB Tracey, thanks for joining. You'll get a good idea of Life in NZ from the conversations on these forums...we're not overly busy right now, but things seem to be picking up nicely.

Have you any thoughts about where in NZ you would like to stay?

we are travelling to auckland then staying in hamilton for our first night,as might be a bit jet lagged!!
Then moving down to hastings for the next two weeks
wasnt sure where to stay so just picked a place off the map,
we have a friend who lives in napier and he says that hastings is cheaper for motels.
anyways we arent bothered where we stay as we plan to have a good travel around to take in the sights

Cool Re: ey up me duck

    I hope you like Wine

Plenty to be had in Hasting/Napier

You will certainly get a good idea of sunshine in NZ.

Nothing is of a great distance from other places, so choosing Hastings gives you a good start point to visit other North Island cities/towns/beaches/mountains/rivers.

Make sure you visit Te Mata Peak, it's a great piece of vertical land.
On a good day you can see as far as a far thing.

    Enjoy your scout around.

    Kia Ora Tracey,

I sent a reply to you question on the Board about houses in Wairoa a while ago and having revisited the same board, I couldn't help but notice that you say that you're from Derbyshire. Coincidence or what, I'm from Uttoxeter and heading out to NZ on Feb 19th with Jeanett (my other half). We're desperately trying to get all the Immigration stuff done to get settled in the Hastings are of Hawkes Bay but the main stumbling block has been getting a 'permanent job offer in writing' to give to NZI, so that's the purpose of this current trip to NZ before we return to the UK to sell the house and then finally move to NZ.
It would seem that there's plenty of people from the UK in the process of trying to relocate to NZ but as we're all well aware, it's not easy to break through the beaurocratic red-tape to get the necessary stamp in your passport. Well, I sincerely hope that all your hopes and dreams are realised in NZ and that you get the residency that you're obviously looking for. Take care, bye for now,

    Mark :-)
