Topic: The Unofficial NZB FAQ

In an attempt to put everything in one place that is easy for people to get to, here's a thread devoted to the various areas of NZB.

1. The Boards
This is the main point of NZB...being that the B stands for Boards. Everyone has the ability to start new threads and reply to existing ones in all Forums bar the Announcement forum.
A thread is a topic starter, one person posts a thread, other people reply to it.
Some members will have the ability to post images with their posts using the IMG code, while more advanced members (and Paid members) will have the ability to upload images directly to the site.

2. Your Control Panel
This is where you view threads you are subscribed to, put information about yourself (Profile), choose an Avatar (Paid Members may upload custom Avatars), and adjust various other options.

3. The Store
Every New Topic or Reply you make earns you a certain number of Points, as do every view made of your thread (by people who are not you ). These points can be spent on Actions in the Store, such as 'Change Username Colour' and 'Purchase Arcade Pass'.


4. The Arcade
This is where you play games. If you have made fewer than 50 posts in total, you will have to make 2 posts every 12 hours to play, otherwise:
Each game has a cost in Points. If you take the first place in a game, you win the Jackpot. If you wish to play games for Free, you can purchase a 2 week Arcade Pass from the Store, or become a Paid Member. You will then not have to pay points to play games, or be eligible for Jackpots.

5. The Gallery

When you click through to the main Gallery page, you should see 'Create/order my albums', 'Modify my Albums', and 'My Profile'.

The Profile link will take you back to your NZB profile.

To make a new personal Album, click 'Create/order my albums'. Give it a name and save it.

Click on the @ symbol and choose 'Upload Picture'.

The above applies to Paid memberships. If you are Gold or Platinum, you get your own personal gallery.

For Standard members: When you click through to the Gallery page, click the @ symbol and choose Upload Picture. This will upload your image to the public gallery.

6. The Smilies

These are found by Sparklechick. If there's a smiley that you would like, that isn't already here then contact Sparklechick and she will try to find them

What's with all the rules? The best sites and forums don't have all these forums and subforums, although they're few and far between.

The Talofa Lava forum seems more fun to me.

Basically it's just a generic themed forum or being in a certain country or area, the name of the thread usually tips you off as to what concerns religion and what concerns videogames.
