In Christchurch my vote goes to C1 on the corner of Tuam and High St. Superb coffee, friendly staff, great ambience and well priced food - their bacon rolls at $6.00 are legendary.

In Pukekohe I like the Bakehouse, becuase they do nice food and its cheap and make the nicest milkshakes in town. (I don't drink coffee so wouldn't know, but they will give you extra shots at no extra cost which I understand is quite good). They have no ambience - its a go in get your food eat and leave place.
If you want Ambience you need to go to something like the Monarch (Who do the best meals!) or the grapevine.
In Manukau, my vote goes to the man I don't know what it is called, but they do the best eggs benedict around and nice orange juice, its just outside the foodcourt side of the mall.

Byzantium cafe on Ponsonby Rd does the best Eggs Benedict ever and good coffee too. It's got to be one of my favourites.
Circus Circus in Mt Eden Village is nice - it has sort of indoor/outdoor dining which is all good.
Cezanne's in Ponsonby Rd is pretty good too ... make amazing BLTs (excellent hangover food).

I live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here

Our Cafe - Hobson St...under what used to be The Royal and Sun Alliance building.
If you start at Swanson Lane (off Queen, is the lane that has the BK at the bottom) and walk straight up the road, across Albert St and on down to Hobson, you will come to a very nice little cafe run by a friendly chinese family.
Their pastries and pies are top knotch, and the burgers are totally awesome. Just try to avoid going around 10AM when huge lines of workers from the nearby construction zones come for their feed.

I like the Open late cafe, they are 1) open late.. hehe, and 2) Do nice Nachos and most importantly 3) they do a wicked chocolate mud cake thing with hot chocoalte sauce and mmmm![]()

I love going to 'The Strawberry Alarm Clock' in Parnell for brekkie
Awesome Eggs Benedict, fresh yummy smoothies with all natural stuff in them (honey, yoghurt etc) and the best ever allpress coffee money can buy (And great eye-candy if you're into that kind of thing)
The only other cafe I love is the one where I make my own coffee (Cos they love me so much!) and where they ask me to make them coffee too (I'm a bit of a coffee snob) and that's Atlas - the roastery (In Albany), not Atlas cafe..
..and you can even buy your own freshly roasted beans from the team too.
Aaaahhhh, Atlas......yum.
(I made coffee for them on Mt Ruapehu last winter...while it was snowing...god that was COOL!)
