Lightbulb The Ancient Maya Doomsday Prediction

Maya was a self made and self contained culture derived from many cultures prior too from surrounding lands, with their closes ancestors being that of the Inca.

The ‘Maya’ culture established themselves within the jungles of northern subcontinent of the ‘Americas’, today know as Mexico.

Over time we have come to know that these civilisations were some of the first modern settlements to approach and establish modern architecture through design that included buildings, temples and pyramids via brick design much simular to today’s building bricks used in housing.

These cultures introduced writing and associated resources, art, and variations of colour; best known for their level of sophistication in mathematical equations and astronomy.

Being a culture like many other cultures throughout the world in history, they operated and developed their civilisation focusing their cultural order via dedication and study of the heavens and time.

The ‘Maya’ used comprehensive study of night skies, much the same as we do today using astrology for the purpose of predictions, change of seasonal cycles and solar calendar.

By erecting stone pyramid sun dials the ‘Maya’ could crosscheck and guaranteed with accuracy predictions thence associated it with time of farming including civil strength for a prolonged culture.

The ‘Maya’ doomsday prediction was produced via a mechanical calendar used for recording eclipses via solar cycles.

To the ‘Maya’ this prediction meant that human existence was to come to an end at exactly this point of time, others would speculate this to be an adjustment in cycle to that of a B'ak'tun.

But viewing these facts and predictions the reality is that there will be a prolonged event ending on the 23 December 2012 depending on world ‘GMT’ location.

As this prediction does not coincide with that of our ‘Earth’s cycle’, it is more accurate to realign this prediction with that of a major solar-flare, striking the earth.

As the sun is infused and would build momentum, the possibility of a repeated assault would not be a far-cry from the truth.

This prolonged period I would determine to be within the same week duration of the time allocated via the ‘Maya’.

As the location of such an assault cannot be predicted with earth movement, steps during this period should be made anywhere.

Humans cannot withstand a solar-flare strike because of our body composition, in-turn we would disintegrate in its passing.

However certain countries have for other purposes have designed deep below the earth facilities to house thousands of people in the event of a crisis and/or research, which would be optimal during this period.

Solar-flares only strike the earth and everything located on it within the general geography; buildings and shelters are not shields that can protect our human bodies from such an impact.

Awareness and preparation for this week is a good step to better the outcome rather than maximising the demise part of or in full, the world’s general population.

Default Re: The Ancient Maya Doomsday Prediction

I know so little of the history and culture of the Maya that I cannot even pretend to be aware. My daughter has taught Native American studies at San Francisco State but I have not followed even that. My family is Cherokee

One thing I do know is that there was a highly developed culture in the Americas prior to the arrival of Columbus. To just skim the surface, a good book would be "1491".
