Topic: Reality Bites

Right, thats it, I have officially watched my last reality TV show. I was slowly and subtly dragged in over the past few years, abandoning my once dearly held committment to never indulge in favour of "just one won't hurt". While I've never managed to reach the addiction heights of many people that I could name, I have put in my fair share of hours in front of nonesense like Fear Factor (there's just something about watching people chunder after eating weird stuff, and saying to yourself, delusionally, that "I'd do that for 50 grand"), and even the odd Touchdown production, I'm calling enough is enough. TV has two choices, either bow down to my demand for watchable, quality drama and comedy, or I will start reading again.




Better stop off at the library on the way home.

Watch paradise hotel its harlirious watching all these people trying to "hook up"

Geeze maybe I just need to go and get a life....

Whilst I can't stand reality TV shows I seem to watch a lot of them.

Crikey, just the other day I watched America's Top Model (craaaap), and I watch Fear Factor, Americon Idol and The Apprentice, oh and Survivor of course. I must admit though the American reality TV shows are a hell of a lot better than the NZ ones.

Oh, and I've never been able to bring myself to watch Big Brother - that's just one show that will never be viewed by my eyes

I liked the first big brother, I think becuase they didn't know what was going on relaly it was funny, I watched a bit of the second, I watched the end of the 3rd and have watched maybe 1 episode of the 4th.

I watched in the weekend this show on telly sat afternoon I think it was, and it was all these couples got engaged and they had never meet each other before, but they were picked for each other and they get engaged, then all go and live in this mansion for a little while getting to know each other, counting down to when they will get married. Each episode one couple is sent home. It was really funny. I am not sure that they make these programs to be funny or what, but they are great comedy!

I don't watch any of the Reality shows...

well you are missing out on a laugh! They are also really good to watch if you are feleling your life isn't going as you would like cos you can sit there and go "well I sure am glad I am not them!"
