Holy cow those are some nice pics!! Makes me wanna be there right now!!

It'd be awesome if you could post some in original format, I'd use one of 'm as a wallpaper!

Also, how did you resize the pictures? The resizing has degraded the image quality quite a bit, I suggest using a bilinear or better yet smartsizer to resize the pictures (personally I use Paintshop Pro's smartsize option). This will prevent those jaggedy edges after resize. Also consider a lower compression ratio when saving to JPEG to reduce artifacts

I have Paint Shop Pro 8. I clicked on Image in the menu bar and then resize. If there is a beter way like the smartsize option i will try it.

In the past I use to put them on full sized using thumbnails but didn't bother this time.
Also I’m scared people on the net will use my photos to make money from them.
Would water marking them be an idea?

I have a Sony DSC-F717 digital camera and took them in 2560 x 1920 (Max pixels)

Ah, in PSP8 you'll see different options when resizing (bicubic, bilinear, pixel resize, smart resize etc.). Smart resize seems to give the best results

Embedding a watermark (kind of like this site does with the photo's) will help prevent others using your pictures but will also make them less attractive of course. Putting a little watermark or your name on the lower right of the picture would be the compromise. Any which way, whatever you show on the net, people can keep for themselves, there are ways to prevent saving options but there's always the "printscreen" button with which the screen can be captured which can then be cropped and saved in a paint application.

These pictures in 2560x1920 must be stunning, but a nice 1280x960 smartresized low compressed jpeg would be great too

I found the smart resize and will replace the photos later. Thanks for the help.

First of all, there are two kinds of watermarking. With the watermarking option in PSP (Image -> Watermarking) you can embed copyright details into the file, but you won't see these details visually on the picture.
The watermarking you're thinking of I think is putting your name or a logo in the picture right? If it's just your name you want in there you can simply use the font tool to write your name over the pic. If you want to "watermark" a logo or something which seems to blend through the picture, make sure you have the logo in a seperate file, open it in PSP, press ctrl-c (copy the image to clipboard), then open the picture you want to watermark and press ctrl-l (paste image (your logo) as a new layer). Then choose the Move tool (or press m) so you can move your logo if you want it in a different position. Then, to blend the logo in with the picture go to menu Layers -> properties. There you will see a pull down menu "Blend mode". Play around with the different blend modes to see which one works out best. After this you can choose Layer -> Merge -> Merge all (flatten) to combine the different layers into one, and save the picture in whatever format.

    Does this help?
