Millions of companies worldwide are investing in online marketing through search engines, organisations and other various marketing angles.
This investment is to get a presents on the web, the same way as having a private or commercial business situated on a premises.
Companies are spending billions a year in advertising through various organisations to maximum recognition, but are companies or even private advertisers getting what they are paying out for? Are we getting a fair-go through our marketing efforts in being able to advertise our full content or being suppressed to limitations!.
It’s come to my attention that there are a number of big named marketing firms out there in the world that are not supplying the service we all pay and hope for.
Two companies recently brought to light are Google Adwards and Microsoft adCenter that amounting proof has surfaced of lack if due diligence to even defamation towards advertisers and/or organisations.
If you are an advertiser of one of these companies I suggest to things pull reports and back-track the sites where these hits are coming from, take note of and keep emails in relation to suppressing content and/or Ads.
Google Adwords ‘Broad Match’ keyword section does not work, results from reports clearly state hits/clicks from words or non-words eg. Anojpa totally unrelated to any of your keyword set.
Backtracking double digit and same day multiple hits/clicks charged, turned up website domain addresses for sale regularly, also sites with no text ads section, but yet charged for multiple ‘Text Hits’ like such sites within box10.com.
On examining these hits/clicks, I find that adverting customers are being charged for impressions rather than actual clicks/hits by potential customers wanting to visit our websites.
Microsoft adCentre on the other had only charge you for actual hits/clicks on actual searches, but unfortunately have their own way of breaching fair trading.
Emails received disapproving Ads and Keywords stating quotes for keywords like ‘Free Help’ ‘Term: strykerslounge.net Gambling - Illegal gambling content’ and ‘Ad Status : Disapproved Reason 1: Gambling Content’.
This is a direct accusation that Ads and keywords are directly associated to ‘Illegal Gambling’ also stating that the company Full Tilt Poker ltd are operating Illegally, with the term ‘Illegal gambling’ that has no variance other than stated exact.
This site does not have Illegal content and never will, as it is a Help Site supplying services and programs for beginners to advance under the categories of education and travel.
Following up on numerous keywords like above I am responded with quotes ‘With regards to the disapproval received for your keyword ****, this disapproval is for irrelevancy between the keyword and the Landing Page’.
What these companies are stating is that to advertise you cannot direct customers to the ‘Home page’ of your company, but rather they are only willing to advertise keywords that are directed directly to pages according to the content in relation to those words.
According to terms and conditions of these companies ‘You are responsible for Your Content, Advertisements’, so in stating this quote, what’s does this have to do with their responsibility of adverting on our behalf.
What we have to wonder is why these companies that advertisers manually input all their keywords and Ads directly into via control panels, are making use of spiders/crawlers to spider/crawl their client’s websites, that the only organisations that should spider/crawl advertiser’s websites are search engines themselves.
