I love Bret and Jemaine
They've just shown the first season of Flight of the Conchords on Swedish tv and I'm looking forward to season two, already.
Are they big in New Zealand? And does anyone know if there will be a season three?![]()

"No man is an Ireland"

They're getting bigger over here, but were very much recognised overseas before finding a following at home.
I'm sure they will do another season!
Cool
That will give me something to look forward to
So they started in USA, did they?

That's where their comedy first found a wide audience, yeah.
I had not heard of them until their US show.
Aha
That's very interesting. Thanks for telling me![]()

if you go on youtube u can find old videos when they first started in wellington, they were well received and clever ont he standup circuit gaining a cult following, once they got a tv series in the U.S (which they pitched to TVNZ and got rejected, they are still not happy about that) they boomed off internationally, they are prety famous ni New Zealand but to be honest its the feeling that they are here but more because they are famous overseas and we can claim them as ours if you know what i mean, kinda like bragging about your bigshot cousin.

I don't think that it is just limited to bragging about them because they are "ours" unless you followed the comedy circuit closely you had no idea who they were or what they were doing or that they were so damm funny. I don't think that it would have ever been as good a show if TVNZ had picked it up, and they could have just failed completley it is almost better that it happened that way.
I just LOVE them, but like Kall said above never heard of them until their show became a hit, and even then because it was on Prime, I only foudn that because a friend posted a youtube of one of their songs and I liked it and asked her about it.
This is my favourite clip of theirs from a live show they did - it doesn't feature in their series.
