Topic: Want to post URLs? You need 15 on-topic posts to do so.

I can remember, back in the day.. nobody came here to simply post URLs to random crap.

Sadly, this has changed.

Fortunately for everyone, I am clever.

Now, in order to post links to other websites, you require 15 on-topic posts in other forums.

I say 'on-topic', because 15 posts of 'me too' or 'I agree' or 'anything else clearly done so you can spam your link' will result not in being able to post URLs, but a big smackdown in the form of a ban.

I think this is a good idea. I know some newbies (yes I'm a newbie too) may have a link they wish to share but really, this will cut down on a lot of spam traffic, I'm certain, and if the link is really good I suppose they can always ask the admin for permission.

Indeed. And we will allow it to be posted, if it is good.

We aren't nazis here, we just don't see why we should provide a place for people to promote their own affiliate links or post to pages about Al-Queda's "victories" or other stuff that is of no use to anyone.
