Topic: Try and get the old posters back somehow.

Hey guys.

Is there any way that we can maybe get in touch with some of the old posters of NZB?

If that's possible, I think we should really do so. This was and still can be one of the greatest communities out there and I'm willing to fight to bring it back from it's dormancy.

Let me know if you guys can help out in any way.

Well, we have a Newsletter once more, but it seems to be a tad broken - no working Unsubscribe link.

Did you get the NZB Weekly Newsletter recently?

If not, you probably have 'Accept Admin Emails' unchecked - out of the 3000ish members of NZB, only ~700 have opted to receive Emails.

I'm not keen on getting NZB blacklisted, so I respect those settings.

Sorry I know this is an old message but thought I would send some ideas in:

- Maybe have a competition that encourage members to come back and post, and new ones to sign up and post and maybe organize a small little prize or something for them to win.

- Send out a reminder email to everyone, send them all a PM or something just to remind them to come and login etc.

Quite a few forums have that...but it's their rank or avatar that changes. If we did a competition, well...it might be a good idea not to make it 'real' so you receive 'real' prizes.

Personally, it is quite hard to get the old members up and running - they move on. I belong to a lot of forum (fifty I think? xD). Anyway, quite a few of them have no posts. Sometimes they forget the site. Sometimes they have no idea what to post so they don't log in. I've prowled around this forum for some time, but nothing ever major happens.

Besides, the posting rate is very slow for me. My computer is quite fast, especially in quite a lot of my forums, but this one takes forever to load, when I post. Maybe you should upgrade for more data space (this would cost money so...)

Also, I'm 13. I'm guessing I am 'one of the youngest'...again. Oh well, it's just that I find it hard to fit in. That's one of the reasons I'm not majorly active.
