Topic: Wheeee! NZB Gets Upgrade! (and kall gets a Job)

Alllllrighty then!

The good folks who write the software that powers NZB have, in their infinite wisdom, released a major upgrade. It's still in its BETA phase, but you know me..I like to live on the edge.

So, against all advice, I have upgraded NZB to vBulletin 3.5. It has some pretty nifty new features...to try one out, double-click a post you have made.

You will also notice that, when you use the Quick Reply, the page doesn't refresh, and your post appears magically.

As far as all the 'features' of NZB, the Arcade is the only one that is currently working with 3.5, and thats only thanks to me spending a couple of hours swearing at it and trying different variables until it worked.

NZBMail will work, but new signups will have to be done manually. Please PM me if you want an NZBmail account.

Oh, and...I start a new job tomorrow, so I won't be quite at your beck and call any more. Any problems will get seen to, just not quite as quickly.

Everything has been backed up (Points/Journals etc), so until the authors of the various modifications release their 3.5 versions, you will have to *shock horror* use NZB as a Messageboard.

I'm waiting for Brian (the creator) to upgrade it to 3.5 ... I would have tried, but I have to work.

I'd say within a month, things should start trickling back.

But seriously, NZB is my baby. I invested in an Owned license for its first birthday, so now it can run legally forever. I don't think I will be chucking it in any time soon, you can count on that.
