Topic: Member of the Month - Jan 2005

As a new NZB feature, we are pleased to announce the Member's Choice section of the site. It works as follows:

Nominate a member. This can be done from the Members Choice main page, or by using the Dropdown menu that comes off a person's Username in a post.

Once 7 members have been nominated, voting can commence.

The winner will receive a month's Gold membership.

2 questions, doesn't it just make it a popularity contest?

and 2) how come the rules are numbered from 4 - 10 on that nomination page thing...

I can only assume that rules 1-3 appear once we have 6 nominees.

Heh, it seems an email gets sent out when you nominate them, to their email address.

This feature would be even more fun with a thread attached to each month's vote. You know, like an all-purpose partisan soapbox from which to make dire threats and win votes.

where did my nominations go?? I had two in there....wasn'[t I allowed to nominate them?

Why not give the winner of the Member of the Month an honorary 'leadership' type badge thingy - yar. Uhm, they would basically be someone, the other members can look up to, and he/she would have to perform a few tasks in that month which in turn has to be bettered every month by the subsequent Member of the Month.

I got an email saying I had been nominated and when I go to the members choice it says that I havent been nominated yet

That will be my fault...when i re-installed it (cos it was bung), I was going to add you again, but the 6 spots had already been taken up.
