I have never been out to the Poor Knights myself but I have heard really good things about it. Isn't that where they sunk the Rainbow Warrior? I know somewhere around Whangarei they sunk it and now divers/snorkellers can dive/snorkel around it. It's supposed to be quite amazing.

Yes the rainbow warrior is sunk up that way but alas because of the conditions it is breaking down quite fast. The wreck is not maintaing well and in the not to distant future wont even be worth diving.Originally Posted by Sparklechick
The HMNZS Waikato is also sunk out of tutkaka and is an AMAZING site to dive. The wreck has maintained well and is definetly worth a looksie

It definitely is a place to put on the 'to visit' list.
