I may be slightly biased, growing up on close to 100 acres of native bushland in the Far North of New Zealand, but I reckon it is as close to paradise as I can get.
While it may not have any of the snow-capped mountains or vast, sweeping deserts of other parts of the world, it does have huge expanses of native bushland, beautiful beaches, and a climate to match.
From the golden sands of 90 mile beach (actually 60-odd miles long, but that wouldn't sound as good) to the twinkly lights arranged into items (post office - mailbox, school - abc) of Kaiwaka, Northland is the shizz.
