As part of the relaunch of nzboards.com, the need for some additional, dedicated Staff members has come about.

If you feel that you could make a decent contribution to this site, and genuinely want to help it move forward and become the busy community that we know it can be, you should consider applying for one of the following positions:

Content Writer (multiple)

Are you a great conversation starter? Can you create insightful, interesting, thought-provoking or funny Topics that people want to reply to?

If so, NZB wants you. Ideally you will have knowledge about New Zealand and topics relating to NZ, as this is the topic of NZB after all. If not, we do have off-topic forums that your style might be suited to, so still apply.


Community Leaders (3)

Over the 6+ years NZB has been online, we have had brief periods of activity, and long periods of little activity. If you are the type of person who can drive membership activity through your own posting, help new people feel at home, and can make the effort to logon to NZB a few times a day, we need you.

Forum Moderators

As per the Community Leaders description, with emphasis on 'keeping the place tidy'. Enforcing rules, moving/closing/deleting threads that are in the wrong place, starting topics in your assigned forum... you are the day to day Staff, with possibility of moving into a Community Leader role over time.


If you feel that you would make a good candidate for any of the above positions, please apply in our special forum, where only you and I can see your thread.

In your application, please describe in as many words as you like (this is a demonstration of your wordsmithery after all ) why you would be the best choice for the role, any experience you have in online communities, and why you want to contribute to the ongoing success of NZBoards.com.

(Remuneration-wise, these are Voluntary positions, but as time goes on, this will be looked at. The more successful the site becomes, the more chance there is that we can begin rewarding Staff with some form of payment. )
