New member here just signed up to get some info on the New Zealand IT Job market. Ive got a 1 year working holiday visa for new zealand and wondering what should I expect when i get there. I've 9+ years experience in coldfusion and Java.
so some questions:
Is there a good contract market there at present?
What are the going rates - or is there a salary survey website that you can point me to.
Where is best to use as a base for job hunting? Which cities should i consider to work? What id like is 6 months work and 6 months travelling about and going skiing so hoping the contract rate is good enough to spend the other 6 months being a tourist
