I really wish I could travel to your lovely country. Not sure where it is I want to go, I only know it is where they filmed The Lord Of The Rings. Pine trees and no traffic. A far cry from the inner city I live in over here!

No traffic? Pfft!
Well not as bad as Liverpool in some places.
My Dad was born in Liverpool...
Small world!
If you want to see the real New Zealand go to South Auckland
Just make sure you take a baseball bat with you.
Now, had you said that you want to see Liverpool where I live, I would have said bring a baseball bat, and some body armour too! Oh, I wouldn't have thought you needed them over there. But maybe ? I live in dream land that out there somewhere is a paradise.
Unless of course, you actually mean that the people there are base ball fans?
If youwant rainbows you have to put up with the rain!
Fans of baseball? No
Fans of beating forecourt attendants with baseball bats? Yes.
OUCH!
The footballs fans here are bad enough! I guess I just have this image of NZ that perhaps is not quite as it is! I just hate where I live and would love to go so far away! I always think of NZ and Oz as being crime free happy sociable places to live. Well, even so, it couldn't be as nearly as bad as here!

I think i've had itchy feet ever since I left Dubai roughly 9 years ago. I've travelled a bit and lived in four different countries, but when it comes to settling down Britain is nowhere near my first choice. It's seems that the UK is on a slippery path and has been for sometime. Murders, rape, drugs, shootings, terrorism....the list is long and varied. Nowhere is perfect granted, but anywhere has to be better than this. The expense of trying to survive in this country is beyond a joke, and yes it is surviving because it definately isn't living!!
I absolutly agree! Britain has been on a slippery slope certainaly since Mr Blair took over the country! There is no police force left to deal with the yobs that make mine and other people's lives a misery. I live in a big area, and we have 6 policmen/women to deal with huge amounts of crime, mostly perpertrated by youngsers aged from about 8 years up! Even so, if they are arrested, they go to court and get told, naughty boy, don't do it again! Yeah, that really puts them off eh? NOT! Rapists walk free from court, even people who have murdered their own kids get 9 months and let out after 6 on good behaviour!
Nah, people, don't come to Britain, I aint proud of the place!![]()

We do have mountains here.. not quite in the Alps or Andes range, but pretty nonetheless.
Some of the more southern ones are snow-topped .. Mine is in the far north, so is tree-topped.
i was wondering if anybody could give me any info about moving to nz ..me and my girlfiend are moving there in nov 06 on a working holiday visa...and we are not to shure where to go/live, where we can get decent jobs, a nice place, a little nightlife, and a good place to surf. if any one can direct me to any possible place to get this info or if ya have any info yourself ...it would all be very appriecatedthanks happy new year

New Zealand
For those of us in San Francisco who are watching the politics, it looks like a fine place.
Lots of folks would make the move.
I would not just make the jump. I would need to make sure it was where I wanted to go.
But then, I would need to offer something to my new homeland. Not just make a move.
What? I do not know. But NZ is certainly viewed by me and many of my friends as a place of fantasy - wonder - and excitement. Not to mention more than a touch of individuality.
Peace
