    Default any immigration consultant recommends?

We are planning to move to NZ from USA. Does anyone have experience with any immigration consultant services. Also what did they charge for their services? Thanks.

I can't give you personal experience of any, but generally speaking there are four ways to migrate (with criteria for character test/English fluency).

    (1) You can migrate to be re-united with family/spouse here.
    (2) You can obtain a work permit for 6 months and find permanent work in that time to justify further application for residency.
    (3) You can come here on the basis of a list of skills considered in demand by NZ Dept of Internal Affairs. Beware doctors or dentists that entry does not guarantee your qualification being accepted after arriving.
    (4) Business migrant scheme whereby you have to invest in NZ. It used to be US$500K but may have doubled now.

If there is demand, I can find and post a weblink direct to the legislation online so you can study it yourselves.
