I climbed up to the summit of Mt Eden with the video camera last night to shoot the spectacular fireworks show.

Pyrotechnic master Martin van Tiel trucked over 10 tonnes of equipment from the Waikato to Auckland to ignite the 3.5 tonnes of fireworks from the Sky Tower, Domain, 4 barges in Auckland Harbour, and 4 other buildings in the CBD.

6000 explosive shells made for a pretty spectacular 10 minutes.
