Auckland - New Zealand's Melting Pot



Food-wise, from the Italian restaurant on Mt Eden Road to the Teppanyaki place in Queen St, to good old fashioned Burger King almost everywhere, there's a taste to satisfy any palate.
Attractions of interest to the tourist/vistor include:

• The Auckland War Memorial Museum
• Mt Eden Crater
• MOTAT
• Auckland Zoo
• Botanical Gardens
• Rainbows End
• Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World
• Mission Bay (in summer, excellent picnic spot)
• Newmarket (shoppers haven)

And much much more.
Auckland's climate is somewhat tropical, but very changable.

I have to say that when I was in Auckland ( if takapuna is still Auck' territory depends if you're thinking before or after bridge) that there is a little beach cafe on "the promenade" and from all the food/coffee that we ate - that place rocks!! they did it up and its all glass and looking very swish these days...!

Just take a look at North Shore City Council and see where the rate payer funds have gone.

I am planing to move to auckland this may , can i have some information about any marathons being organized there . When are they organized and how much is the participation ?

But I think, quite a lot of serious runners also go out of Auckland to compete in other marathons.
