Topic: I need your help any brits out there ????

Hi i am a brit in new zealand and i'm staying in a back packers and we are doing a international night here soon and we have to cook something from our country. I have so many ideas from our country but don't know what actually stands out for us brits, which would interest the different nations. So anyone out there could help and give me a few ideas on what to cook ??????????

I'm not a brit (obviously), but I watch a whole hell of a lot of the Cooking Channel.

• Bangers and Mash
• Shepard's Pie
• Welsh Rarebit
• Something with mushy peas
• Lamb shanks

Yorshire puddings and Jaffa Cakes (I am sure you can buy them somewhere in NZ) good luck

I totally agree cant beat good old yorshire pud mate.... must have gravy tho!!!!!!!!!!

what about some Jamie Oliver recipes for something new and different? when i think of brit food i think of:
fish and chips
sausages
pea pie and pud
yorkshire pudding
roast beef
beef wellington

oh and i forgot ......
stew and dumplings
