I only heard of these little delights recently, as Sparkle had enjoyed some with a meal she had at a restaurant, but didn't know what they were.
As it turns out, they are a type of potato. Jersey Bennes potatoes are grown in Otago, New Zealand, and are known as the local equivalent to Bluff Oysters.
Coming in a box, these 'new potatoes' taste strongly potatoey, like potatoes should taste.
Delicious simply boiled with a bit of mint and some butter, go out and try some today.
