    Default Osama's Letter to Bush

Osama Bin Laden decided to send George Bush a letter in his own handwriting to let him know he was still in the game. Bush opened the letter and it appeared to contain a single line of coded message:

    370HSSV-0773H

Bush was baffled, so he emailed it to Condi Rice. Condi and her aides had no clue either, so they sent it to the FBI. No one could solve it at the FBI so it went to the CIA, then to the NSA. With no clue as to its meaning they eventually asked Britain's MI-6 for help.

Within a minute MI-6 cabled the White House with this reply:
"Tell the President he's holding the message upside down."

Default Re: Osama's Letter to Bush

President Bush may not be the only one holding the message "upside down"! What does " Ideological Orthodoxy" ( mentioned recently by Kerry) actually mean- with respect to politics- Democrats and Republicans... and Green Peace, for example. With respect to the attitudes and behaviour of people of different ideological religious factions?
I am told that the President of the USA toutes the idea that Al Qaeda could go from " success" in Iraq- rather than the present civil chaos, I presume- to mobilization of the entire ( presently shattered) Islamic world, to the restoration of a Grand Caliphate ( similar to the 8th and 9th Centuries)- to the " conquering" of the world!
The manner in which this extended ultimate "great fear" is fought is via Abu Graib- and now it appears- with support from the Danish Government- with cartoons of the Prophet of Islam, with a bomb as his turban- offends, en masse, the " ideological orthodoxy" of the Moslem world!
It offends against the (established, procedural) "Way" of civilised good manners and courteous consideration to all... including minority factions of opinion/ideology... since oratory that provokes "hatred whipped up against them, with mob violence"... is a crime against our very selves, our security of life, our honour and our properties and environment.

All messengers- including Jesus Christ- prophets, saints and matyrs in " the cause" are honoured with blessings called down upon them five times a day, in the Moslem World! An important tenant is " the other- of like values/principles- is a blessing".

Orthodox Moslems will not " hit back" with cartoon images of the Orthodox Jews trying to decide between Jesus or his brother James- as the legitimate " heir" to the mantle of the Star of David mission to The Gentiles, for example... and then deciding neither as The Church split from Judaism with its Pope taking on 3 hereditary "Angelic" roles in one authority figure! They will not for instance, parody Christ's efforts to bring in "all the chickens" and portray zealot and other murderous factions with dripping bloody beaks and claws in their wrestles for political power!
We presently search for " the system of systems" by means of the
"righteous protocols" of a global world order that will bring us peace, prosperity and many " re-wardings". That can't happen unless we follow- through (ideologically and actually, as a mature global society)on the " ultimate findings and pro-visions and proffered solution" of "The Perennial Philosophy".
As an individual New Zealander living here in Pakistan for many years, I see any possible/eventual re-formation of Caliphate as incidental to the real challenge. The real challenge is as before, to achieve a Meeting Place in which genuine differences and view-points can be transparently aired and thrashed out in full Public View. " Public view" is useless unless our highest individuals- in matters of our over-all concerns related to Science, Conscience and Faith- rather than merely " self-serving" Politics, Economics and Military might, have an " equal airing" alongside such ( divided,"patriotic") heritage systems.

A segment of the " Vine" of radical, reformatory Islam has gone under-ground.The West seems to think that this can be dealt with by a process of " the elimination"... of key players and their followers.Fire with greater fire.... and keep the fire " over there" away from our shores! We hear that keeping Nations ( who might pose a threat to us by their rise) in a chaotic state of low/high level insurgency- with a host of unresolved issues- is " good" for us!

Hands up those who think this "works"?

Hey, OK then... but my suggestion is this... you really need to take a look at your own particular" band-waggon" and its "trumpets" ideological orthodoxy!
Sounds like they are busy playing "the last trump"! Lynley.

    Holy Crap.

There's this strange and wonderful thing out there. It's called a sense of humour ... you might want to try to find it before heading into the Jokes and Jocularity section

Thanks for the timely advice on jokes and jocularity... I do want to find it, just having a hard time here! I laughed so hard at British Airways jokes on my earphones during a recent flight out from " between the rock ( earthquake) and a hard place
(getting heard- as one educated and trained up in NZ!)" that the conservative EU bloke behind me took exception and told me off! Later he moderated his annoyance to this comment" You must be a very jolly lady"! Believe me.. I do like/want/try to be one!
I just have a hard time getting a laugh off the killing fields, the destruction of property and future generations inheritance! But if you choose to view such situations as a means to a goofy joke- I can also have a laugh about that!
Personally I prefer poignant, double entendre, " telling" jokes!
So I'll make a feeble effort to reach my own standards-
Israel believes in One, Christians believe in One plus One- and a Holy disembodied ghost! Moslems are supposed to believe in One-plus one- plus one (the ghost of things to come) as a real influential personality/dynamo for change.. making even women's share of " the inheritance"- children and minorities, the poor and the weak and the environment, "real"! But for those who get serious about all this, the jokes on them! Ashes to ashes and dust to dust- the ghost wins hands-on, everything into it's over-powering clutches, every time! Yeow... the ghost is real! And it's an invisible, elusive blood-sucking vampire with a bomb in it's hat! Sorry... pretty feeble as well, right? Lynley.

Well, it seems Bin Ladin, Bush and Blair are up before God and God asks, "What do you want in this world?" Blair puts his hand up and says, "I want world peace, no killing, no stealing, no greed of any kind". God waves his hand and says,"It is done". Next Bin laden requests "I want a wall around Iraq so high nothing can get over it, not even an airplane, so deep nothing can get under it, not even a mole." God, again waves his hand and says "It is done." Finally Bush asks "You have a wall around Iraq, so high nothing can get over it, not even an airplane, right? And the wall is so deep nothing can get under it, not even a mole, right?" God says "That is right." So, Bush thinks for a minute then says "Fill it with water."
