what is the points thing and how do i get more points to play in the arcade?

You get points for many things...posting threads, replying to threads and having people view threads that you have created.

Another way to gain points is by placing in the top 5 positions on Arcade games (you get a portion of the Jackpot).

Yet another, is to place a bet (and win) on a vBookie event...these are designated by the blue dollar symbol in the thread lists.

And more importantly, someone please tell me how this thief thing works.....My points are going faster than I can get them

There's a thread all about the points system in this forum, but specifically:

Thief: The chance of succeeding is found by comparing your Karma with that of your Target.

If theirs is heaps higher than yours, there is a high chance you will fail.

If you fail, they get your money instead, and your Karma loss is much higher.

Stop trying to steal MY points :

If you steal from somebody who has high reputation (like Penny and myself) you will always lose and we end up getting some of your points.

Never really saw the point of stealing...fucks your karma (mind u what that affects I cant fathom) and if u cant earn points work out how to

and if someone catches you stealing then they can reduce your karma even more.

Once your Karma gets to 1000, it is impossible to steal from you...that's one effect.

You can only advance to Senior Member status if you have over 100 Karma, so there's another.

If your Karma is high, it makes it harder to steal from you, and people know that you have made comments that others deem worthy of giving you Karma.

how did you know that i was penny

You can see all the recent thefts, by going clicking on the store menu, then clicking on the word "actions" Scroll down until you find a box that says "Theif" then click on the link that says "Recent purchases" this shows you about the last 10 or something times someone tried to steal.
