Topic: I have a question...

I have a question for you... What is the difference between "points" that show alongside my posts, and "Your Current Cash" that shows at the top of the page in my userinfo box.

Both seem to show different values, so I am curious to know what the difference between them is.

Cash could be spent at the now-defunct store. We'll miss you, store.

I'm not sure what points are, but the actions associated with them seem to be disabled.

I thought they were the same....

BUT it could be the difference between having just posted and before, maybe the header just hadn't refreshed... was it allot different or just a little bit?

I just checked and mine are the same...

as for the points/cash, you can use them to bet on vbookie events or in the store. I think the store should work...I'll test it

So what is the one in my info-box? An old cache?

I don't see any store links. I'm on the PixelPro skin however.

The one in the navbar is calling user[money] ... the one in the postbit was calling user[points]...which is the old version of the shop.

I have fixed those up now.

Uh okay, but I still only see Points 10 in my info-box!

Also, I have another question:
What is the difference between reputation and cash?

Well your cash you earn simply by posting and having people reply to your threads, and reputation is pretty much how cool you are, haha. People can add to your reputation or take away from it if they like/dislike your posts.

OR if you steal your reputation suffers and things like that. I am not sure if your reputation is affected by the number of posts you make, I think it might be.

So the cash you spend, the reputation lets others know what sort of poster you are, I spose.

oh and the 10 in brackets beside your pretty green rep/karma, is what effect you would have on someone elses reputation if you gave them some.

Psst...it looks different on the different styles.

But yeah...that 'points' is your Reputation/Karma level.

There's a sticky thread in Helpdesk that explains hoe each works.
