Hiya Paul,
just seen your message on here and I can only say, you'd be mad not to at least try giving NZ a chance. I'm in the process of moving from UK to NZ and have to say, NZ Immigration don't make it easy for you but you have to keep going at it.
Have you been to NZ before, as I have met people who have relocated to NZ but had never even been here before but I would suggest a long visit before you make your mind up, that's if you don't already have family and friends here.
Jeanett and I are currently in Napier, right in the heart of sunny Hawkes Bay and we love it here but sadly have to return to the UK next week.............. but........... we'll be back here again very, very soon.
Anyway, good luck with your efforts, just do your research and decide what it is that you want to gain from the NZ lifestyle and then put your heart and soul into it.

Mark :-)

Good luck on wanting to move here to NZ. As said above, it would pay to visit for a while to check things out.
