Always used to amuse me watching the sycophants brown nosing the NZD webbys.

When I decided to arrange a permanent banning (dammned addictions...) I made a few comments about the leader of the "I love webby" contingent, and whammo, I was gone in not muich more than 60 seconds.

So have you been banned too crkd?

it was the only way I could break the addiction. No matter how inane it had become, no matter how uninteresting the threads, I just couldn't break it. I tried to put up a bogus profile a couple of weeks ago, and it lasted about 5 minutes. I suspect that because I have jetstream webby can track me.

He/she/them/it must really hate me, I think I am one of the few people permanently banned to not even be able to get a bogus profile up.

Regarding how they track you, (at least when we were there) they use imr-worldwide cookies.

You can block Red Sheriff ad servers in the hosts file.

With regards to banning people after 5 minutes..well, that's going a little overboard..and is a little presumptuous of them to assume they are correct, but it's their site, so they can treat people however they wish.

NZB isn't big enough for me to have those hassles yet...our banlist is empty...which is a good thing really.

I had a couple of attempts to put up bogus profiles so I could stay in touch with friends, figuring that any messageboard activity would be easily spotted, and one lasted until I messaged a mate (2 or 3 days) and said "Hi, this is actually shrub", and the other lasted minutes only

There are a lot of good people there, but the boards are not a shadow of their former selves and I have decided it's futile trying to use NZD as a dating site.
