Yeah..there's no limit to the number of replies a thread can have here...nor a time limit on when they 'die'...so they can carry on forever if not manually closed by someone.

That's exactly right. As I considered it to be spam, spam it was.
We suggest that people start an introduction thread when they first join. This would count as one post. An intelligent reply to another would be a second post, and that person would then have access to the Arcade, with its large files meaning more bandwidth usage...bandwidth that I have to pay for.
This is why supporting members and people who have made a contribution to the site through their referring others and making intelligent posts themselves, are given easier access to the Arcade and other site functions, and people who post the following are considered to be spamming to gain Arcade access:

While I enjoy the parry and riposte of the debate as much as the next person, in this situation, I cannot lose, so it isn't fun or fair.. It's my money paying for the site, my words are law.
In saying all of that, I see that your more recent posts have been more productive and on-topic, so that is all good.
