New Zealand to usher in free-to-air digital TV by early next year (EARTHtimes.org)

New Zealand announced Thursday it is converting to free-to-air digital television next year. The country's government said the switchover from analogue to digital will offer viewers a clearer and cleaner picture, fewer reception problems and access to more channels.
