New Zealand In Depth (ABC Asia Pacific)

New Zealand has confirmed its air force is monitoring the Southern Ocean following clashes between Japanese whalers and environmental activists. Conservation Minister Chris Carter says the air force's main mission is to look for illegal fishing activities.
