| Asian Shares End Mostly Up; Tokyo Extends Gains SINGAPORE (AP)--Most Asian markets rose Friday as Japanese stocks extended the previous day's gains to hit another 5 1/2-year high. Shares in Australia and New Zealand also reached record highs, but Hong Kong shares fell. The Nikkei 225 index added 14.32 points, or 0.08%, to finish at 17,059.66 on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
