| We should all be aware that the emails from banks are to be ignored but now we have to be careful of TradeMe phishing attempts. There was a report in the Herald this morning that implied they were a nuisance rather than damaging. I beg to differ! [more] If the eBay phishing strategy is being used the plan is to get control of accounts and find those with a) plenty of credit and b) a good trading reputation of high value goods. They will then post some items and sell them at "good prices", not too low, not too high. It will all look really normal. Once you've deposited the money the email account will mysteriously vanish. Poof! there goes your money! | ||||
