This is a highly debateable subject, i dont think NZ should become republic because it would proably cause a civil war within New Zealand and among its people

If you want to add a Poll to a thread, you need to be in the full New Thread screen (ie: not using the Quick Thread box on the forumdisplay page), scroll down to the bottom under Additional Options.

You just need to put a tick in the box that says 'post a Poll with this thread'.

Definitely should be a Republic. Finally cut our outdated ties to the 'mother country'.

The combination of B.O and pulling out a $20 with a horses face on it... ew.

Personally, I think becoming a republic would be a great idea. We are so geographically removed from 'old mother england', and we have developed our own sense of identity, that being ruled by a monarch on the other side of the world no longer holds any reason for me.

And if it sparks a civil war, so be it. We could use a bit of excitement these days. If possible, could it be on a Monday night? There's so very little on TV on mondays now.
