| I may be slightly biased, growing up on close to 100 acres of native bushland in the Far North of New Zealand, but I reckon it is as close to paradise as I can get. While it may not have any of the snow-capped mountains or vast, sweeping deserts of other parts of the world, it does have huge expanses of native bushland, beautiful beaches, and a climate to match. From the golden sands of 90 mile beach (actually 60-odd miles long, but that wouldn't sound as good) to the twinkly lights arranged into items (post office - mailbox, school - abc) of Kaiwaka, Northland is the shizz. | ||||

| I love Northland! My grandparents lived in opua most of my life, and so most holidays were spent there! | ||||

| I am another Northlander. I grew up in Kaikohe. We had a boat that we moored at Waitangi and every holiday we'd go out in our boat in the Bay of Islands. It was bliss. | ||||
