watching the news is so dismal, robberies, murders, paedophiles
drugs, unruly ministers, protesters, have yet seen anything nice
maybe nice is not news what do you say

It's the voyeuristic nature of the viewers that the TV channels are cashing in combined with the "if it bleeds, it leads" programming style.

What about some real news stories that are positive and give some positive vibes to the community? Or would that be too much to ask.

I agree. Last nights news was pretty depressing really.

They usually save a feel good story for the final story but by that time I've already switched over to Friends.
