| *adds poll tot hread* ... makes it more visual, and easier for people to have their say. ![]() Personally...I am 'ready' for one, but I would be VERY surprised if they manage to get a seat at the next election. Traditionally the Maori vote goes to Labour, and that isn't likely to change in any noticable degree. John Tamihere knew that, and that (in my mind anyway) is the reason he knew he could get away with turning up to the conference and apologising, even though Helen had told him not to. Personally, I couldn't bring myself to cast a vote in favour of Tariana Turia. Or that freaky guy who is the Male head of the Maori Party. | ||||

| I don't think it's necessary. We're supposed to be New Zealanders. My Grandmother is 93 years old and was born in the house she lives in now. All her siblings were born there too. My great great grandfather came over to NZ on a boat in the 1800s. I'm getting sick of this country segregating itself between the nationalities. I don't know why the maori keep wanting to put themselves up on pedestals and act all precious about their heritage. I feel the same way about NZ as they do. | ||||

| *edits poll title slightly* You're right there Sparkle. We are supposed to be coming together, and there are groups of people actively fighting that mission. | ||||
