Telecom cuts off it's 025 network at 6pm tonight, a day short of number portability - forcing all users onto new numbers.

I know the friends of my sick mother are still using her old 025 number (she's moved to Vodafone) - when they can't get through will they think there's a problem? There has been so little publicity that you have to wonder if people are actually aware.

I wasn't aware it was closing either..and I am closer to it than most.

There'll probably be a bit of a call volume spike at the 123 helpdesk today.

On the NP subject, there's some free text service you can use to see if a given number is on the Telecom network.
