Wheeeee! It's our national day!

I have decided to post a poll and ask for discussion on: What should we call it?

Personally, I feel that it should be New Zealand Day. It IS our national day, so why do we focus on one town that has seen so much controversy?

ie: Do we celebrate as an entire country, or do we celebrate one town where you can go to have people bare their arses at you and throw eggs at you?

I agree - if it's all about uniting two (Or all) cultures, it should be uniting the country as well. (I'm not saying Waitangi as a place to celebrate it is bad) Hey, it's not just about one culture and one set of beliefs...

I also put in a vote for the silver fern flag rather than the other one which has been on the news (Apologies, I do not know how to spell the name of and wish no offence) as from what I can see it's not a united cultural flag which all Maori people believe in.
If, however, it was... then I'd support it 110%... (Or if you can tell me I'm wrong on that point)
