| Sounds like the rumoured Aurora spy plane. From memory the fleet of SR71 Blackbirds were retired approx 5 years ago without ANY complaints from the intellegence community. Now this shouldn't make sence as they require a platform that can be positioned over an area of interest within a short space of time, not the day or so it might take to reposition a spy satelite. The Aurora is supposedly a triangular shaped Mach 6 platform that uses pulse jet engines developed from the X-35 Dynasoar project. The most major opps in proving the existance of such a craft was the earthquake in Southern California a few years back. The earthquake was not a major event on the Ritcher scale but unusually the epicenter was travelling across California at 6 times the speed of sound (ie faster than the X15 rocket plane ever flew). Now who can guess what direction was this earthquake was travelling in? | ||||
