Default Fined for smoking in a car

:Llama:

Hows that.
Youre not allowed by law, to smoke in your car while driving.
The cops busted Johno , from the Rock radio, and he was imposed a 60 dollar fine.

Harsh, very harsh.

I wasn't aware of this law either. Crikey. I see people smoking in their cars every day. I think it would be a pretty arsehole cop to pull someone over for smoking.

Maybe you aught to start worrying about all those missiles out there being aimed by people too busy with their fags to be concerned with trivial things like steering or breaking.

Think what someone's reaction would be if they set their crotch on fire while driving.

yes you make a good point. But its like anything else people do when they drive, I drink and eat while I drive all the time, and that could be just as dangerous.

Which is exactly why you can be charged with dangerous driving here in the UK if you are caught eating while driving.

Yeah, I wonder if that is the ruling here too

I'm not sure if using a cellphone is here yet either, I know there was talk of it. I don't generally do that, although I did yesterday

Mobiles are definitely on that list here too.
You can't even use a hands free kit.
Also not while at stop lights or in queues.
Only when parked.

Soon it will be illegal to use a car stereo as well.

I hear they cause accidents when people lean down to change the channel.

I know someone who was injured in a car crash, becuase the person in the other car had taken her boots off while she was driving, and they got stuck under the break pedal or something.

It's pretty much a case of move it or lose it if you get on the wrong side of a truck.

The wrong side in this instance being the outside.
