| Yeah people elections r on the way, with the ole M,P's offerring the world if u vote for them or they're either hanging each others dirty washing, however it does not matter who gets in the country is in a mess either way. If the Maori Party gets in all the radicals will like this then if the National Party gets the vote well what could i say, brash would sell N.Z, the Labour Party has my vote because they havent done anything useful for the country anyway and we know their track record so why try and train a new party to do exactly what the old party is doing? What do you all say? ![]() | ||||
| ||||
| This looks like the perfect thread for a poll. ![]() I'm not 100% certain which party will get my vote at this stage. Labour will be lucky to get either of my votes this time around though. Oh and, if bloody Destiny New Zealand gets in, I'm so outta here. | ||||
| ||||
| I'm considering voting National this year. I'm sick of Labour and their pansy-arse way of running the country. I've voted Labour almost every other election but have lost faith in Helen. | ||||
| ||||
| If she given too much to the maori, she has forgotten us maori on the benefits, not saying solo but widows, old age pen. sickness, we got squat. The amazing thing is everything else goes up but these benefits, so she has to be giving to the RICH maori, | ||||
| ||||
| That's just it busyness. The money has been apportioned according to race, rather than need. The sadder thing is that some greedy people have done greedy things with most of that money. Had the money been apportioned by need, I honestly believe that you would have received your fair share. | ||||

| As much as I don't approve of all of Labours policies and they way they ignore the views on the public (when it comes to things like the vote to reduce the number of MPs from 120 or to increase sentences for violent criminals) I have major issues with National's ability to fund everything they are promising while still going through with their tax cuts. To me it is like National are lying to buy votes and then they plan to come up with some bullshit statement like "we didn't realise the books were as bad as they are and that the country is nearly broke". However, I feel that Labour shouldn't be given unconditional power over the country and that a collation with a left leaning group like the Greens or Alliance would hopefully give some balance to Labour’s bully-boy ways. As for my electorate vote I am still waiting to see who the other candidates are. We have currently have billboards for; - an unknown standing for National, - an invisible Labour sitting member who didn’t stand up for the health of her electorate when they were sprayed with poison in an attempt to kill a moth that MIGHT damage SOME of our timber industry (the damage was valued at about half the cost of the spray program) If Laila Harre was to stand for Alliance (or even as an independent) in my electorate again I would definitely consider voting for her as she actually achieved something with the local hospital which now has an A&E department only 20 years after the hospital was built. | ||||

| I don't trust hardly any of them but Don Brash I don't trust the most. His unaffordable tax cuts for the rich and that Mainstream New Zealander stuff to, I am for the Greens. | ||||
| ||||
| well I'm glad they are over and we now just have to wait to see who will partner up. I'm sick of the sledging between Brash and Clark. Facelift did a perfect send up last night at the end of the show. | ||||
| ||||
| hey drank more as the show went on. I love it when they send up John Campbell. I hate him! | ||||
| ||||
| Maaaarvellous! (What I found amusing is the huge stink kicked up over that guy saying 'he would bet his left nut' on something...I say that all the time!) | ||||
| ||||
| ha but i bet your not going to actually chop it off. That makes me shiver. | ||||
| ||||
| I don't trust any of them any more. Don Brash has lost all respect from me since I heard he's talking about a possible coalition with the maori party. He thinks they can work together which is weird considering their policies are completely opposite and the maori party say they won't budge on any of their policies. | ||||
| ||||
| Huh? I thought the Maori Party were going to go with Labour. It's been hinted since Saturday. | ||||
