Default Chinese man learns what 'being different' gets you in Washington

I was almost going to put this in Jokes and Jocularity but...it's true.

A chinese man, newely arrived in the U.S, went with his 2 suitcases to the Whitehouse and asked to see the President.

When he didn't lie down when asked, several swat agents distracted him from the front while 3 or 4 more tackled him from behind.

The suitcases were x-rayed then blown up with explosive devices.

The contents: Some clothes, shoes, a cd player and other very innocent things.

Moral of the story: Don't be different in the states.

Poor guy.

Went straight from the airport to Capital Hill. Probably had NO idea he was upsetting the American police.

Now he only has little shreds of clothing to wear.

Oh dear Kall, looks like you've upset some of the yanks on that other site.

I'm sure the news coverage said that the guy didn't understand English very well ... when they asked what was in the suitcase perhaps he didn't understand ... it seems a bit odd that the police are saying he couldn't understand English and yet he responded to our question with "open them yourselves" (or whatever he said) ... sounds like the American police making up a bit of a story to me.

I can understand that the Americans must be feeling quite on edge about terrorism etc and have every right to be and the little Chinese man was silly to do what he did but I don't think he did it intentionally and I do feel a bit sorry for the poor wee man.

I feel totally sorry for the guy.

This is why the world hates americans.

Individually, they can be excellent people, but en-masse, they are self-righteous paranoid religious fundamentalists who scare the bejeezus out of me.

Yeah well ... look at who they elected as their leader, that's enough to scare the bejeezus out of anyone.

.... PS ... the above is a joke .... I'm part Aussie myself - works well for me when it comes to most sports as I usually like to support winners
