Default Auckland in the 1980's

I have been living in Boston in the U.S.A. for about the last 18 years, but am originally from Melbourne Australia.
I lived in Auckland throughout most of the 1980's, and really enjoyed my time there. I have many fond memories of the place, but I am sure, like everywhere else things have changed somewhat.
Lived in several areas, including St. Helliers and Meadowbank. Worked out of Hoson Street and Symonds Street as a sales rep.
Boy those were great times, and what a beautiful country.
Anyone who want's to correspond would be most welcome to do so.
George.

Hi George, welcome to the community!

Have you had a look at the Member Map yet? It's basically Google Earth. You can zoom right in for a satellite or even streetmap level view.

You might be able to find your old house.

Hi Priscilla,
Yes, I have been to Mt. Eden many times, and have some very good memories of the fun times there. A friend of mine lived in Mt. Eden, so I was over that way quite often.
I was a sales rep. for an office supply company..so was all over the different areas of Auckland ...and furhter down south.. Pukekohe and beyond.

I very much enjoyed my years there, and the memories will always be there, it was a special time.

Where do you live in Australia? I am from Melbourne originally, and was just back there earlier this year catching up with friends and family. It was great.
It's nice to be able to go back ..and continue on with friends you have known for years ...without skipping a beat !!

Do you get back to New Zealand often?
I would if I lived a little closer ....but you can't get much further away than Boston.....

Hope everything is going well for you,
George.
