| I think turning up to what you thought was a fancy dress party in full fancy dress and then finding out when you get there that they decided to can the fancy dress idea and everyone else is dressed normally .... a la Bridget Jones | ||||

| I'd say being underdressed is worse. It's easier to go less formal when dressed formal than vise versa. Take off your tie/bow, open a few buttons, loose the jacket etc. ![]() Oh, I'm only speaking of manly clothes of course ![]() | ||||

| I would prefer to be overdressed at a casual party, than under dressed at a formal. But then if I didn't know I'd probably try and find something that can be both. But then I hate dressing up and so I probably wouldn't even get close to what you need to wear for a formal occasion. | ||||
