Anyone who has been following this latest series of American Idol will know of the mighty entertaining William Hung, whose rendition of Ricky Martin's She Bangs wowed the judges and made us all cringe a little for Ricky.

Well, it would now seem that William has hit something on the head, and is doing quite well.

We just watched a .mov of him doing She Bangs in front of 30-odd thousand people at a game of some description, and there is a Video and CD out now too.

They played little snippets of his on the radio the other week. Apprently he has sold like 30000 or 40000 records!

Good on him I reckon if he can take mockery and turn it into his good fortune. I mean ultimatley he has achieved what he wanted to so good on him!

I've said 'good on him' a few times since seeing him on idol.

Hell, if he is able to get to sing in front of thousands of people AND get paid $3500 for it, he must be doing something right.

I think they should rename the show to Unpopular Idol. That way all of this would make more sense.
