On my way across the carpark to the temporary place I was assigned whilst waiting for my real one, I decided 'Taking a shortcut thru that loose hedge would be a great idea."

Because it was 6PM, it was quite dark. I failed to notice that the thing pressing against my leg was a wire until it was slicing up my shin and I was sprawling towards the concrete.

Fortunately my left knee absorbed most of my body weight on impact. Ow.

It did indeed. I hobbled the rest of the way to the car and sat there gasping for a while.

I ended up being more worried about my trousers...it's bloody hard to find black trousers the same shade as your jacket.

Yeah well I didn't want to wake up and find that his scabby knee had crusted over me as well! I was also thinking of the bedding ... ewwwwwwww dribbly knee goo all over my sheets ...
