Vodafone NZ is currently running a competition. It's all about 'Good old Kiwi Ingenuity'...come up with some new idea, doesn't matter how wild, as long as nobody has thought of it before.

You can enter over the Internet at www.vodafone.co.nz/wildideas. All that’s required is 250 words or less outlining your idea.

Seven regional competitions are being held with a winner to be selected from each region* by a panel of judges, including a “wild” local celebrity. Each local winner will receive a prize package, including a Vodafone live! GX30 mobile, $500.00 cash, $200.00 Vodafone airtime and assistance from their local incubator to gauge feasibility of their idea.

They will then compete for the National Vodafone Wild Ideas prize, which includes a trip to anywhere in the world that inspires the winner most to the value of $8,000.00, $2,000.00 to use as spending money, $1,000.00 Vodafone airtime and $2,000.00 worth of their local incubators services to get advice on developing the Wild Idea further.

We've been encouraged to enter. An email was sent out this morning about it saying that even employees can enter which is all good.

Now I just need to come up with an idea.

Oh right well thats good. Must beat all those, employes of such and such companie and their immediate families cannot enter.

Ask Ed he has an idea! Cept that might take away from teh whole "kiwi ingenuity" part of the competition!

To keep it telephony, I need to go to www.vodafone.com and see what they are doing.

In a previous life, a couple years ago, I was manager of system engineering for TRW Vidar and have 30 to 40 years of teleephony. Been there, done that.

How about a home made range of banoffi pies ?

Made with the special ingredient of love.

All you have to do is find a loving cook to produce these at the rate of 100 per day.

When I work out how to get someone to hide under my desk at work, and be my cheauffer and fix my car when it needs to be and also clean my house, wash up and iron, all for free I'm going to enter that...

now any ideas on how I get someone to do that?
