Default Ways to relieve boredom

I walk the same route to work every day (and back again) and it's starting to get a bit boring so I came up with a way to make it a little bit more interesting.

the License Plate Abuse game

Take the number plate BJL8402 (this is made up by the way) - this would become BlowJobLover8402 and so on.

Wow, this sounds a bit lame when I read it, but trust me it can be quite fun - I had a bit of a giggle with some of the stuff I came up with.

Anyone else got any good ideas as to what else I could do to keep myself entertained on my way to/from work?

Just remember while doing this you are not allowed to step on any cracks.

I do the same thing you do to help me remember license plates of my own car or of friends.... so that if I see a car out that looks like theirs I can verify it.

Have you thought about getting a walkman and listening to books on tapes while you walk?

I don't like to walk around with a walkman on anymore after I was attacked one day walking home whilst listening to my walkman. I didn't hear the guy come up behind me.

Yeah, so ever since then I haven't wanted to walk with headphones. The police recommend that you don't do it as muggers like to target people with headphones because they won't be able to hear when an attacker approaches them from behind.

Any other ideas?

Someone tried to mug me once......Tried! ... He went home with minor concusion after I belted him around the head a few times with the bag he was trying to steal... he didn't realise I had a hefty 1500 page hardbacked book in it

My attacker left half his face under my fingernails. I told the police he should be reasonably easy to spot since half his face was missing.

Yowch!!!

I've heard that about Ipods especially because the headphones for those are so recognizable. I thought that was pretty insane but for a $500 gadget I guess I can see it.

Do you pass a lot of businesses on your walk? Or primarily houses?

A bit of both really ... houses to start with and then businesses as I get closer to work.

When going by businesses you can play the "Alphabet game". Look for each letter of the alphabet on signs as you go by. YOu have to find each one consecutively before moving on to the next letter.

You've eaten tang fish?

The most exotic 'fish' you can get around here is shark or eel.
